U.K born, I immigrated to New Zealand as a child. Growing up and adapting to life in a new country sparked a lifelong curiosity about how people evolve when confronted with environments and cultures unlike those they once knew.

I have a deep interest in the human stories behind great moments in history and in how those moments continue to shape our world. The stories that often exist behind official records: of people and families navigating unfamiliar worlds, of relationships that cross rigid social boundaries, and of women whose influence frequently unfolds quietly but profoundly.

History is at its most powerful when seen through the lens of individual lives and the transformations that occur within larger historical moments. I am drawn to writing tales that balance historical scope with intimate storytelling, where the past feels both vividly released and emotionally immediate.

Based in Aotearoa, New Zealand, I am currently working on my second novel, with my debut novel, Of Iron and Incense, due for release soon.
